Fashion Industry Training Academy Launch

The Textile Centre of Excellence is to launch Yorkshire’s first dedicated fashion, stitching, garment making and furnishings Academy, based in the heart of the UK’s textile and clothing industry, Huddersfield. 

The Academy will provide new employment opportunities to address the growing demand for skills in apparel manufacturing across the region.

An open evening will be held at the Textile Centre of Excellence on Wednesday 21st October 2015 from 4pm until 7pm.

This event will give you the opportunity to view the Academy facility, understand how training will be delivered and also give you the chance to discuss your own requirements with Textile Centre of Excellence staff. 

Bill Macbeth, the Centre’s MD, will open the event and provide some background on the development of the Academy, the role it plays across the sector and how it can help you to address the skills gaps within your business. 

The Academy will provide you with the chance to train new recruits as well as improve the skills of existing employees in garment / apparel / home furnishing disciplines.
